Kim Phelan

Bio

Kim is a rare individual whose compassion is matched only by her passion. She has brought her unique knowledge, skills and experience to the Coalition for Hemophilia B since its inception over 30 years ago. While she now serves as the organization’s COO, her leadership role in the community defies any single title or description. Many people know Kim as teacher, advisor, mentor, sister and friend. Through her leadership and vision, the Coalition has expanded continuously to advocate, educate and empower patients and families to live their best lives.

Kim is a member of HBA Healthcare Women’s Business Association, served on several boards, founded an online group:The National Anxiety and Phobia Peer Support Network Group serving as a life coach for those living with anxiety and phobias for several years, author Conquering Panic and Anxiety Disorders, MHFA certified, Reiki III Master, volunteered for the elderly with Alzheimer’s, Children with Autism, MS Fundraisers, Local homeless causes, Vacation Bible School and teacher in her local church. Kim is a strong local community advocate speaking on New York Community safety on behalf of CARES and Community advocate for neighborhood safety working with local Senators and Council members.

In her spare time Kim enjoys spending time walking in the park with her husband Bill and their little YorkieJoJo.
