Mark Zatyrka

Why BD SUMHAC?

β€œMark decided to participate in BD SUMHAC because he saw firsthand the problems rejections from facilities can create.  He lost a close personal friend with hemophilia who overdosed and has another close friend, also with hemophilia, who overdosed, went into a 3-month coma and now lives in a rehab facility, all because they were not able to navigate substance abuse facilities after being rejected for having a bleeding disorder.  In addition to his personal challenges, Mark has worked with countless families in the bleeding disorders community who struggle every day with their mental health.”
